I remember registering for baby items with our first child and I was honestly lost. What kind of bottles do I need? Will I be able to breastfeed? What’s a swaddle and why are there ten thousand styles out there? One thing I learned quickly after having the baby was that every baby is different. One child loved our swing and the second child hated it. I’m sharing this because it’s important to keep these things in mind when creating your baby registry. All your baby truly needs is YOU, a good meal, a safe place to sleep, and lots of love. Everything else you can find by shopping at Walmart.

A Few of My Favorites
Dock a Tot
I love using this around the house. There are several different covers available and they are easy to remove and clean. Baby Theo is currently snoozing away right next to me, as I write this post and keep a close eye on him. I love using this while I’m getting ready, blogging, or enjoying a cup a coffee.
When breastfeeding did not work for us, I quickly turned to these bottles. My little guy loves how closely they resemble the breast and mommy loves that they are less toxic with very few parts to clean.
When Theo was hospitalized for Salmonella, he had a red booty and could not tolerate traditional baby wipes. The hospital sent us home with instructions to use water on gauze pads only. Well that only worked for a few days because with two other children running around, it was not practical to use water every single time. I ran to Walmart and purchased WaterWipes and they were perfect for his little tush. They worked so well that I have continued using them to this date.
This is something you will use now and then use for years to come. I recently purchased one of these for my older kids and let me tell you, it works! It has a smart feature where you can program it with your phone. The kids love setting their favorite colors and sounds for bedtime, naps, and wake up. I just purchased another one for the baby and it’s perfect as a nightlight in the nursery while providing white noise.
Parent’s Choice Wipes
The Parent’s Choice brand of wipes and diapers are great quality and very affordable, making them a great choice when on a budget. I like that they offer cotton and fragrance free baby wipes also.
Infant Optics DXR-8 Video Monitor
I have used about every other baby monitor on the market and this one has not failed us yet. I love the ability to rotate between rooms and keep an eye on our older children. I also like the feature where I can talk to the kids through the monitor. I like that it is not connected to our phones so we do not have to worry about anyone creeping on our monitors with nearby wifi connections.
I love every item that Fridababy puts on the market. Our favorite items are the Windi (to help relieve gas) and the Accu-dose Pacifier (it allows for easy medication administration).
Owlet Smart Sock 2
This has been a lifesaver for us. After Theo was hospitalized, I was so nervous to put him back in his nursery without constant monitoring. It was great having this little sock that would alert me if there were any breathing disturbances or abnormal vitals. I highly recommend this for a peace of mind.
My Brest Friend
This pillow is so comfortable and I prefer it over the Boppy pillow because it has back support. Whether you plan on breastfeeding or bottle feeding, this is a great pillow to own.
Pampers Pure Diapers
When it comes to diapering, less is better on the little bum. I prefer these diapers because they are less toxic and have safer ingredients than most diapers.
I cannot survive without baby carriers, especially with the older kids in the house. I love how this carrier provides back support and how I feel safe wearing the baby for every day activities.
Bottle Cleaning Accessories
Whether you’re breastfeeding, exclusively pumping, or formula feeding, you will have bottles and parts to clean. The Parent’s Choice brand offers several different options to keep all of your items nice and clean.
Choosing a swing is difficult, especially if you do not know what your little baby will prefer. Two out of three of my children have loved this Mamaroo swing!
Pack ‘N Play
Plan on traveling? This pack ‘n play is luxury for your little one. I know several parents that use a pack ‘n play for sleeping arrangements until their little one moves to the crib.
Planning on formula feeding? Listen up! This is going to be your new best friend. It’s like the formula barista, mixing up fresh and warm bottles with the click of a button!
