The kids and I recently set out on an adventure to shop for Father’s Day. I find that I have a hard time purchasing gifts for Scott because he prefers to save money. When I asked him what he wants this year, he said that all he wants is a day to go fishing. We decided to surprise him and add a few items to his fishing day. Hopefully he doesn’t read this post, or it won’t be much of a surprise!

Walmart has an amazing selection of items for the dads in your life. The kids wanted to purchase a fishing kayak for daddy but I explained that he is happy with his current boat. I did include it in my gift guide because it would be the perfect gift for a man that loves being outdoors! They also requested a new tent for camping. This budget-friendly tent is only $34. I loved that the camping section had so many great options for tents, camping supplies, and more. We may have to upgrade to one of their larger tents at a later date!
If you’re stuck on what to purchase as a gift, Walmart has a large variety of heavy duty coolers. We purchased the Lifetime 55 Quart High Performance Cooler in grey. It has two rope handles and is constructed of polypropylene. We selected this cooler because it can hold up to 60 cans and can retain ice for up to seven days! The size is great and fits under the captains seat in our boat.
