Hello there again, it’s time for another candid post. You may find yourself asking, what is the “fourth trimester?” It is the period following labor and delivery, when you’re home with a newborn and adjusting to your new life. In this post, I’m sharing my favorite items getting me through the end of pregnancy, and the items I’m planning on using for the “fourth trimester.” Some of these items can and will be used during both times. I’m also sharing my follower’s recommendations from Instagram.
Just a few stats: I was 36 weeks pregnant in these photos and 162 lbs at this point. Pre-pregnancy, I am a small or size 4, weighing approximately 132 lbs.

Third Trimester Top Five
1. Soma Enbliss Wireless Bralette
I have worn this bra my entire pregnancy, with no need to size up. It is like butter to your skin and has held up so well. They are also BOGO 50% right now. I highly recommend these for every stage of pregnancy! I am wearing a Medium.
2. Motherhood Maternity Secret Fit Shaper Panty
I love wearing dresses during pregnancy, but I can’t stand when my thighs rub together. I’m not shaming here, I’m just not used to it. However in pregnancy, it’s inevitable and hits me around my second trimester. These shapers are only $19.99 and I have them in both nude and black. They’re also 25% off right now. They help smooth out lines under dresses and make your bump and love handles seamless. I am wearing the S/M.
3. Zella Leggings
These are hands down the best workout leggings for pregnancy. I wore them during my second and third trimesters every single time I went to the gym. They pass the squat test, they’re very durable in the washing machine, and they provide a lot of support. They are frequently out of stock so I recommend buying them now while they’re available. I am wearing a medium comfortably here.
4. Amazon Colorfulkoala Leggings
I have lived in the these leggings my entire pregnancy. They are so soft and they held up very well. I plan to continue wearing them postpartum as well. Bonus points? They’re $22.99 and come in several different colors. These are true to size with the ability to stretch. I started with size small in my first trimester and have sized up to medium.
5. Jockey Women’s Tactel Briefs
Another item I can’t live without. I love these and they do not ride up or move one bit under your clothing. I stick to the bikini style when not pregnant and currently love the hip briefs. I order mediums.
Fourth Trimester Favorites
I’m skipping ahead and saying these are currently my favorite items for the postpartum and fourth trimester period. I will do an update once I’m there and let you know how these items rank then as well.
1. Larken Essentials Tank & Larken X Bra
These tops were created for nursing and pumping, and they’re perfect for pregnancy as well. They provide support but are light and airy at the same time. With no elastic, tags, clips, metal, or anything else annoying, they are by far the most comfortable tanks and bras. I am comfortable in medium and they provide sizing charts on their website. You can receive 10% off your purchase with the code COASTALOAK10.
2. Pink Blush Maternity Robe
When it comes to selection and price, Pink Blush has so many great options available. Pink Blush sent me this beautiful robe to try and it is so amazing that I ordered another one in a different color. I love the coverage and how soft it is. I’m wearing a medium here and it fits perfectly. I plan to wear these robes with the Larken Duo from above and comfortable pants in my first few weeks postpartum.
3. Maternity and Postpartum Pants
It is so difficult to pick one favorite pair of pants, so I am linking several options here. I’m more of a lounge pant than nightgown kind of girl. Here are some of my favorites.
4. Nursing Tanks, Bras, and Nightgowns
In addition to the Larken products above, I’m linking several options for nursing bras and tanks. I do not love clip down styles, but have included them based on your recommendations. Two of these gowns are in my hospital bag and are my absolute favorites. They are from Amazon and I cannot attest to how well they will hold up to wash and wear, but the reviews are great! I ordered mediums and they are perfect for breastfeeding.
5. Pajama Sets
I recently discovered the “Secret Treasures” line from Walmart, and let me say, I am shocked at how much I love these sets. While I purchased them for postpartum, I am secretly living in them in my last few weeks of pregnancy. I love how soft they are and their price. Walmart is tricky for linking sources and finding them online, but I’ve included what I can. I am wearing a medium now. Disclaimer, these are cheap and I do not know how well they will hold up to wash and wear, but let’s be honest, they cost between $5-$8 a piece.
