Coastal Inspired Foyer Design – Splurge & Save

In the effort to distract myself from my son’s hospitalization, I sit here making design boards. I love pulling these together to give you inspiration and ways to find the look for less. This one will be short and sweet, but I hope you enjoy this coastal inspired foyer, with splurge and save options as well.

One of the best ways to save money on art is to purchase prints from the artist. There are several options when doing this to make them look like an original piece, like printing them on fine art paper or canvas. I also like framing them with an oversized mat.

I love the look of two matching poufs or baskets placed under an open foyer table. They compliment the design without looking too busy or creating too much clutter. The poufs are also functional when you have guests over and need additional seating.

Oversized mirrors create an amazing backdrop when styling a foyer table. They open up the space and then you can layer items in front. Not into mirrors? Try layering a tall vertical piece of art with a smaller horizontal piece of art.

When adding decor to the table, opt for large coffee table books with neutral spines. Layer a bowl on top of those with a plant or wood beads. I think every table top looks great with books, plants, beads, and natural objects. Large chunky pottery or planters also add great texture to the overall look.
I hope this design board brings you inspiration and I plan on sharing these more often. You can find living room inspiration here and bedroom inspiration here.
