Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cheese: Choose your cheese, and use it as the mouse’s body. Unwrap the cheese and place it on your cracker of choice.
  2. Create Mouse Ears: Take sliced almonds or blanched almonds and carefully attach them to the top of the cheese to create the mouse ears. Use a small amount of cream cheese or goat cheese as “glue” to hold the almonds in place.
  3. Add Eyes and Nose: Use peppercorns and attach them under the ears on the cheese. Place another peppercorn at the tip for the nose. Optional, use cream cheese or goat cheese if they’re not sticking.
  4. Add Whiskers: Slice the chives into small pieces and stick to both sides of the cheese towards the bottom to pose as the whiskers. Helpful tip: use a toothpick to create small holes for the chives for easier assembly.
  5. Serve: Arrange the mouse cheese on a serving plate. If you’re making multiple mice, you can get creative with their positioning to make it look like they are interacting or forming a cute display.
