Our Multifunctional Room + Home Office Decor Mood Board
I’m so excited to finally share the mood board for our office decor and multifunctional room. I have been working on this room for a long time and it is finally coming together to meet our needs. This room was our formal dining room that we converted into a playroom, and now it is being converted into an office. We closed in the room and added a closet, installed pocket doors, and plan to use it as an extra “lounging” space. We also plan on using it as an extra room when we have guests. The room also houses our new toy closet. How have I been inspired and what are my plans for the room? I’m going to share those ideas with you know!

Decor Plans for Our Home Office + Multifunctional Room
A Neutral Rug for the Home Office Space
This room is located directly next to our entrance and foyer. I decided to include a soft wool rug with a neutral design. I made sure it added texture to the room without a busy tribal design. I found this amazing Pottery Barn rug and I will review it when it arrives. I’m including a few more of my favorites as well!
Sleeper Chaise Sectional for Guests and Relaxation
We have several projects occurring at the moment so I am working on a tight budget for this space. I found several beautiful sleeper sofas but they are all over my price limit. I finally found the Ikea Finnala Sleeper Sofa with chaise in Orrsta Black-Blue. It has a great price point and I feel comforted using it in the design know that my children will frequently use this room. Stay tuned for a full review when it arrives! Home Office Desk Makeover
I recently purchased a vintage desk on Facebook Marketplace with the intention of refinishing it and adding cane for texture. I’ve always wanted the desk pictured in my design board, but I will settle with the $150 version for now. Not into DIY? Here are some beautiful options!

Downstairs Toy Storage
I shared our new closet organization yesterday and love how functional they are now. We relocated our living room closet into the office and it is a great space for storing some of the toys, legos, arts and crafts, games, and puzzles.
Picture Ledge
I recently removed our foyer gallery wall in preparation for a foyer makeover. I have several frames leftover and hope to put a small gallery wall in the office above the sectional. I plan to place the frames on a picture ledge for a unique look.
